Mr. Cheng Jong Yong is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in banking litigation and real property transactions, making him a valuable advisor to Chinese clients involved in financial and real estate matters. He graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) from Multimedia University and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on April 30, 2010.

Mr. Cheng began his legal career at Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co in Johor Bahru, where he completed his chambering and subsequently joined the firm’s Litigation Business Unit as an Associate. In April 2011, he joined Woon Wee Yuen & Partners, where he now leads the Taman Pelangi branch in Johor, providing specialized legal counsel across a variety of sectors.

With a focus on banking litigation, Mr. Cheng has built a solid reputation advising on civil suits, foreclosure proceedings, and bankruptcy matters, particularly those relevant to Chinese businesses and individuals dealing with financial institutions.
